Mission
Our mission at Healing Hands Addiction Centers is to provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Through our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) approach and a full continuum of care, we empower individuals to regain control of their lives. Our team is dedicated to offering a safe, supportive environment where healing and growth can occur.
Philosophy:
We believe that recovery is a journey, and every individual deserves a comprehensive, personalized approach to treatment. Our holistic model integrates mental, emotional, and physical well-being, addressing the root causes of addiction. By blending evidence-based therapies with compassionate care, we support individuals in building a sustainable foundation for long-term sobriety.
We offer MATs to manage withdrawal syndrome and cravings, increasing the chances of successful recovery. We incorporate various therapeutic modalities and wellness activities that include recently perfected Mindfulness and Meditation techniques that have proven extremely effective in treating Opiate and Methamphetamine addictions, particularly alleviating craving and withdrawal.
Our commitment to your recovery doesn’t end with initial treatment. We offer ongoing care and services to promote long-term success.
Leadership
Dr. Roger Mason
Founder, CEO & Medical Director
Dr. Mason is a USA trained, double board-certified general and vascular surgeon who practiced surgery for over 48 years before transitioning to the practice of Addiction Medicine as a full time focus in 2019. A graduate of Yale University and Yale Medical School, Dr. Mason completed his surgical residency at the University of Colorado Medical Center followed by a vascular surgery fellowship under Dr. Michael DeBakey at Baylor University Medical Center, Houston.
Earlier in his surgical career, Dr. Mason worked in Trinidad and Tobago (2002-2010) providing care for the underserved, and consulted in a number of other Caribbean nations (Grenada, Guyana, Antigua, and Barbados). It was in this environment that Dr. Mason was initially exposed to the jarring consequences caused by disparities in access to health care, and he worked diligently to create a more effective health care system in the region.
In 2019, alarmed by the surge in the opiate addiction epidemic and distressed by the current dismal record for successful treatment, Dr. Mason studied the gaps in our current system of care and formed Healing Hands Addiction Centers to address these gaps. HHAC opened successful outpatient clinics in Warren and Pine Bluff, Arkansas that offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MATs) for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) patients combining intensive “in-house” behavioral health therapy as an integral part of their treatment.
Healing Hands Addiction Centers is actualizing its Mission by transforming the current fragmented ineffective system of care for SUD into a vertically integrated system of care that features a seamless end to end delivery of patient services (residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient), reducing gaps in care and resulting in more effective outcomes and reducing recidivism.
